The following are items we DESPERATLY need for our foster homes!
*Pet beds, towels, blankets
*Crates, kennels, doghouses
*Leashes, collars, toys, treats, food
*Grooming supplies, shampoo
*Flea treatments (Frontline, Advantage, etc.)
*Heartworm preventative
*Food and Water dishes
*Office supplies (printer paper, envelopes, postage, etc.)
*Vet services (vaccinations, spay/neuter, boarding fees, etc.)
Who We Are
Heart of Georgia is a non-profit 501(c) Humane Society that helps animals who are in high-kill local animal shelters. Our goal is to eliminate euthanisa by spaying or neutering dogs and cats. We pull dogs and cats from Macon and Baldwin county shelters. We have no building and rely on foster homes.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption fee is $125 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. This fee helps to cover spaying/ neutering, vaccinations, heartworm testing for dogs and feline leukemia testing for cats. Adopters must fill out an application. We do not adopt to people that live outside of Georgia because home visits must be made prior to adoption. Please note that Heart of GA has the right to refuse any adoption. Adoptors must have a fenced yard connected to the house. Chains, runners, or kennels are not acceptable. We want your new pet to be a member of the family so most dogs need to be inside/outside dogs.
