PeachState Pet Partners (formerly Pet Partners of Habersham), is a non-profit, federally tax-exempt charity whose purpose is the promotion of humane treatment of animals. We provide humane education, adoption, and foster home services for rescued or abandoned animals, and network with other rescue groups in an effort to find the best possible homes for the animals. We rescue animals at risk of euthanization at animal shelters, provide safe haven for abused and neglected pets, help owners re-home pets, and help people who have found abandoned animals, as long as we have available space.
We also have a discount spay and neuter program available to anyone regardless of income, as long as funding is available.
Our organization is made up entirely of volunteers, and foster homes receive no compensation. We do collect a $150 adoption fee for dogs and $125 for cats to help defray the costs of veterinary test, rabies vaccination, micro-chipping and spaying/neutering.
We conduct our adoption events generally on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at PETSMART, across from the Mall of Georgia, from 11:30 am - 4:00 pm.
We generally bring most of our available animals, but please call us at 706-776-1923 if you are interested in meeting a particular pet.
We also do many adoptions midweek with approved applications.
WE NEED RELIABLE VOLUNTEERS AND FOSTER HOMES!! TO INQUIRE ABOUT EITHER, PLEASE CALL: 706-776-3112.
PSPP Nominated for Award
PeachState Pet Partners has been nominated for a $10,000 award sponsored by Adopt-a-Pet. The winner is determined by an on-line vote (which takes less than a minute). Although we were nominated late in the process, we are hoping enough supporters vote for us so that we can save even more at-risk dogs and cats in the coming year.
We're pleased to offer a "snapshot" of our pets which can easily be incorporated in any website. Can you, your business, or your organization help us find homes for our adoptable pets by including on your website the scroll-down list shown below? If so, please email us at pspp08@hemc.net to request the link for insertion in your site.

One of Petsmart's groomers, a Braselton resident, noticed Zack, a very sweet pointer-lab mix, and couldn't walk away! Zack is now looking forward to the holidays with his new family!
Featured Cat Adoption!!
Otto and Brenda Ojevaar had already adopted two of our special needs pets...and now have adopted Victoria, pictured here with her new dad! Victoria had already been moved to a shelter's euthanization room when she (along with Blue Belle and our Bobtail family) were rescued by one of our volunteers.

Wonderful Dogs Looking for Homes!
Dogs Pictured: Left to Right; Top to Bottom
Molly is an adorable Beagle-English Bulldog sweetie whose owners fell on hard times and had to give her up. Molly is great with kids, cats and other dogs, and would do well in a house and also in an apartment. Can you give her a second chance?
Carlee is a beautiful German Shepherd-Boxer mix who has had obedience training and would be a great family dog.
Sonny is a lovely boxer who loves people and other dogs. Are you the lucky family for him?
Dolly is a gentle pointer/lab teenager who gets along well with other dogs and loves meeting kids at our adoption events!
Special Needs Dogs
Faith loves her bright yellow rain jacket! This very happy-go-lucky girl lost her sight in one eye because of prolonged food deprivation, but is doing very well now. She so much wants a forever home! Click on Faith's photo to learn more about this special girl...and watch her video to see her in action!
Sweet Daisy was the victim of a domestic violence situation. PSPP helped rescue her, and now is looking for the loving home that she so much deserves. Click on her photo to learn more.
Two year old Tuck is the sweetest, most lovable dog you'd ever want to meet! Sadly, this cocker/beagle mix tested positive for heart worm disease, but has almost finished his (successful) treatment. If you're interested in a great family dog, dlick on his photo to learn more.
Special Needs Cat
Moonpie is our "Gentle Giant" who was left behind when his owner moved out of their apartment. Sadly, after living outside for 2 years, Moonpie contracted the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) from another cat...one more danger facing cats who are allowed outside. Moonpie can live a normal lifespan with good care, but needs to be an only cat or be with another FIV+ cat. (He poses no risk to dogs or people.)
Please note that you can also see Moonpie in our "Photo of the Month" shown below!
Young Kitties Still Need Homes!
There are so many cats and so few homes! At least that's the way it seems sometimes. All of the "teenage" kittens below are super kitties! They are all personable and sociable...but still haven't found their forever families. Can you change that sad state of affairs for at least one? Click on their photos below to learn more about these cuties!

Savannah (Cornish Rex mix) is very special...She doesn't understand why no one has taken her into their home!
Pilgrim (orange and white tabby) has it all...sweet, loving, and playful!
Beanie Baby is our latest kitten acquisition from a north Georgia shelter. Everyone loves this cuddly little guy!

Adopting a Pet
We want you to be happy with your new pet. To this end, we screen both pets and potential owners for a good match, and to avoid future problems with dogs and cats that aren't suitable for a particular adoption. Our animals are vaccinated and tested for common diseases. The adoption fee helps offset our costs associated with our veterinary expenses, including includes vaccinations, micro-chipping, and spaying/neutering procedures. Dogs must pass a basic temperament screening test, and we do not accept animals with a history of aggression towards humans.
In order to make the adoption process as successful as possible, we screen adoptive homes, and follow-up after adoption. Some of our dogs require fenced yards and most of our pets require home visits.
Please call 706-776-1923 to learn more about any of our pets or to request an application. You can also e-mail us for more information.
Volunteers Needed!
We are always looking for volunteers for a variety of activities, and we especially need dedicated individuals and families who are willing to serve as foster homes. We are limited to the number of dogs and cats we can save based on how many foster home slots we have. Please consider this incredibly impactful way of helping homeless pets!
We also need help at adoption days held at PETSMART near Mall of Georgia. We do adoptions from internet applications anytime we have an approved application. Please contact us for more information.e-mail or call 706-776-1923 and leave a message.
Other Ways You Can Help
Operating a rescue organization is a very costly endeavor. Costs associated with the actual rescue activities, routine veterinary care and out-of-the-
ordinary medical costs for special needs animals, food, heartworm and flea prevention medication, food, feeding bowls, leashes, collars, chew toys, cleaning supplies...and on and on!!...really add up.
We very gratefully accept financial donations and in-kind contributions to help support our efforts. Please click on the Donate Now button to make an immediate donation (Or mail contributions to the address below or drop them off at one of our adoption events.)
Our wish list includes such items as quality-brand dog & cat food (dry & canned); Unscented Kitty Litter (Clay and Scoopable); Kong Toys & Stuffers; Cat toys; Dog Biscuits; Cat Treats; Non-Edible Chew Toys (Nylabone or similar); Snap Collars (we like to give them new collars when they come in); Dog and Cat Beds – All Sizes; Squeaky Toys for Dogs;
Collapsible/folding Crates.
Please contact us is you are interested in donating any of these items. Thank you!!
