Who We Are
The LaGrange-Troup County Humane Society is a non-profit organization working for the humane treatment of animals. Although we are a no-kill organization, we work very closely with the City of LaGrange Animal Shelter which is, unfortunately, not a no kill facility. We list animals housed in the city shelter on this site as a courtesy to the shelter. If you are interested in a shelter animal, please call the City of LaGrange Animal Control at 706-298-3606 for more information.
Adopting a Friend
Its easy! Just a few pieces of paperwork, the adoption fee and then you're on your way. The adoption fees for City of LaGrange Animal Shelter Animals are as follows: Dogs are $75 and Cats are $50. This fee includes vouchers redeemable with local veterinarians toward the sterilization procedure and vaccinations. For out of the area adoptions, the adoption fees are $18.50 for dogs and $16.00 for cats. Adoption fees for Humane Society animals are the same as the above fees. The difference being that these animals have already been spayed/neutered and given vaccines.

Come Visit Us!
I-85 South from Atlanta...to exit 13 (approx. one hour from Atlanta Airport). Turn right off exit. Just past McDonald's turn left onto Pegasus Parkway. At flashing light turn right. Travel 1-2 miles to train crossing, just before crossing over make a right . 1390 Orchard Hill Rd.
Our shelter is open:
Monday - Friday, 10am to 5pm
Saturdays 10am to 12am
