Hi, My name is Barkley! I am an 8-9 month old puppy. I am a mixed breed- the vet says I may be a lab, boxer, pointer, hound mix! I sure am cute though! I was rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina. The lady who rescued me, couldn't keep me but she knew I shouldn't be put to sleep. I had a temporary foster home there, and I just moved to Florida this weekend! I have had a Ruff start to life (being taken to a kill shelter for no reason and moving around so much) but I adjust well, and am ready for my permanent home! I am housebroken (except for the occasional puppy accident). I love other dogs, and I don't mind cats either! I love going for walks and I am 100% crate trained! I just want someone to love me, someone to call my own. I crave attention and will give you all the affection I have to give. Can you find a place for me in your heart and in your home?!
Barkley has been vet checked, tested negative for heartworm and intestinal worms. He is fully vaccinated, neutered and up to date on k9 Advantix and Heartguard! He is 45 pounds!

We are in desperate need of foster homes, if you are interested in fostering one of our rescues please visit our website and you will find a foster application. Just fill it out and either fax it, mail it or send it via email. We are also in desperate need of donations. We can not continue rescuing unwanted, abused and neglected pets without private donations. Even the smallest donation helps! We ALWAYS need used/new dog crates, of any size. If you have a crate to donate we will be more than happy to come pick it up! Thanks for your support!

We are a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue in Boca Raton. We started in 2006, and we decided that if we could save only one pets life, all of our hard work is worth it!
Adopting a friend
Please visit our website for more information about adopting! We do require a prospective adopter to fill out an adoption application/contract and we also require a home visit! All of our rescues are Vet Checked (They all come with a health guarantee and one free visit to our vet.), Up To Date On Shots, De-Wormed, Spayed/Neutered (unless they are a special needs case with a medical condition preventing the surgery or if they are to young), as well as being up to date on heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Cats and Kittens are tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. Dogs and Puppies are tested for Heartworm. All of our rescues also come with a week supply of food and some of their favorite toys.
