Please email us your inquiries, we're having a hard time returning all of your calls!
Thanks for your interest in our rescue! We REALLY appreciate it!
With your help we have re-homed more than 225 pets!!!

Please read the following information before applying to adopt from our rescue...

Our rescue consists of a handful of volunteers who donate their time and resources. We all have jobs, families,
foster animals and our own pets to care for. We do not operate out of a central location or shelter facility.
Everything we do is out of our private homes. We appreciate your interest in our pets and will be more than
happy to answer your questions. Please be patient with us if our email responses aren't immediate or if
we cannot answer the phone when it rings. We will get back to you just as soon as we can. We are working
on obtaining 501c3 status and when we do, we will be expanding A.R.T.H.A.R. Inc.
We ask that you keep in mind that our volunteers have constant interaction with animals on our pet listings and
applicants are chosen based upon the most suitable match for a particular animal. Every animal is different and requires
a certain type of home. Our volunteers make their decision for a suitable home based upon their daily interactions
with the animal. Please do not take offense if you are not chosen for the specific animal you are applying for- there may be a
reason why this animal may not make a good match for your family and there may be another animal in the rescue
who would make a good fit for you. The decisions we make are with the care and concern of the animals
in mind. We ask that you fill out an adoption application prior to meeting any animal within our foster care program.
This helps us to ensure that the animal you are interested in is indeed a good match for your household. Once we review
your completed application we will contact the appropriate foster family to set up an appointment for you to meet the pet at
a future time that is convenient for all parties involved. This process could take anywhere from a few days to two
weeks depending on the quantity of adoptions already in process and arranging schedules.
By adopting a new pet from a rescue not only are you helping to support a hard
working organization who strives to save the lives of countless unwanted animals on a daily basis,
but you are saving the life of the animal(s) you choose to adopt.
When your adoption is complete the foster home your pet came from
now has an opening for a new animal to move in to, giving
another pet a chance to live a long, happy life.
Thank you for considering to adopt from A.R.T.H.A.R. Inc.!

In addition to the adoption application, at the time of adoption completion we ask that you leave
an adoption donation to the rescue to help with the expenses and care of the animal such as food,
toys and medical needs. Your donation is greatly appreciated and honestly needed to help
us continue. Without donations, we can not afford to save these animals.
Typically we request a $125 donation to adopt a dog unless there are special circumstances
for that animal. Your adoption coordinator can let you know the amount of
the donation being requested for the animal you are adopting.
