Who We Are:

We are an all-volunteer nationwide American Eskimo dog rescue organization with chapters in many states throughout the country, and we are always adding more. We rescue stray, orphaned, unwanted or abused Eskies from humane societies, pounds, shelters, etc. We then place them in foster homes for evaluation and, when necessary, get them spayed or neutered; bring them current on all vaccinations and take care of any medical needs; provide proper socialization and/or obedience training; and finally, we get them adopted out to their new forever homes. Since our inception in March 2003, we have rescued over 1,600 Eskies!!!

We can also be found on Petfinder.com in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee and Washington state. Keep an eye out for new Eskies listings throughout the United States! Who knows...there just might be one near you!

Calling All Volunteers, Transporters and Foster Homes!

The only way we are able to rescue Eskies is through the dedication of our volunteers, transporters and foster homes. Volunteers do computer work, Internet searches, and other sometimes small but always very important tasks, as well as provide foster homes for our foster dogs and puppies. Transporters take animals for vet visits and to their new adoptive homes. Foster homes socialize the Eskies, provide obedience training when needed, and work adoption events. If you can spare even a small amount of time, please contact us at: contact@eskierescuers.org or go to: www.EskieRescuers.org to fill out an Application under FORMS, in the left-hand column! It's incredibly rewarding work!!!

Adopting a friend!

There are MANY American Eskimo Dogs around the United States that need new loving and nurturing forever homes! This includes a number of older American Eskimo Dogs who also need your love! Won't you consider adopting a new best friend who is somewhat older? Our "New Leash on Life" Senior Program is designed to match up our senior Eskies with senior Humans, who may be looking for a calmer and more mature companion that is already housetrained and housebroken. To find out more about this program, please go to: Senior Eskies and Senior Humans.

If you see an Eskie listed on this site that you may be interested in adopting, go to: our Adoption Information page to fill out an adoption application. PLEASE read the entire page this link directs you to BEFORE proceeding to the actual adoption application. We will get back to you within 72 hours after your application has been submitted. When filling out the form, please specify which Eskie you are interested in, and what state/location he or she is in.

To get additional information about our organization or any of our available Eskies, please see the contact information at the bottom of this page.
