We are operated by Nassau County . We hold the pets as long as we possibly can in hopes of having them adopted. However, sometimes tough decisions have to be made.
Please consider adopting a pet from us or any other rescue operatons. Too many homeless animals are euthanized every day across the nation. Please be part of the solution to resuce these animals.
Adopting a friend
Adoption fees are $88.00 for dogs and $78.00 for felines. The adoption fee covers initial shots, worming, rabies shot, spay/neuter, micro-chipping, Felv/Fiv testing for cats, and heartworm testing for adult dogs. A

We try very hard to keep this site as accurate and updated as possible. If you see an animal that you are interested in PLEASE call the Shelter to confirm that the pet you are interested in has not already been adopted. We will try to update this site nightly!
We hold adoptions at Petsmart @ Rivercity Marketplace on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month!

We are always in need of foster families for our pets. Some of our charges have never been indoors. They need housebreaking help, and assistance with social skills.

Bath rugs-they make great soft beds
Treats
Gently used crates and wire kennels
Hairball preventive food for the adult cats
Fiberglass Dog Houses
