Adopt-A-Rescued-Kitty, Inc works for the welfare and protection of Cats and Kittens, Dogs and Puppies, through rescue, medical care and adoption. We are dedicated to providing them a loving, safe, happy, healthy, lifetime home. We are committed to helping and protecting those who cannot speak for themselves and to show them love, compassion, mercy and respect. There are not enough homes for them all and many are unwanted. Humanely reduce the feline over-
population, Spay/Neuter your pet.
WHO WE ARE
Adopt-A-Rescued-Kitty, Inc. was founded in April 2002 and was joined by Animals In Need USA, our Dog Rescue Division, in March 2005. Operating as an All Volunteer, Non-Profit, No-Kill 501(c)3 Organization we are sanctioned by the IRS and the State of Florida. We are a professional cat, kitten, dog and puppy adoption agency, and are members of The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, The Humane Society of the United States and The American Humane Association. Some of our volunteers are certified members of the United Animal Nations Emergency Animal Rescue Services, USA and HSUS Disaster Animal Rescue Team. Our rescues are either homeless, or abandoned and many are cruelty cases. They come to us from the streets, puppy mills and Animal Care Centers of Duval, Clay, Nassau/Fernandina and Bradford Counties. Every animal that comes into our program stays with us until they are adopted. Our rescues are cared for in foster homes, not a shelter.
ADOPTION INFORMATION
Our Cats and Kittens pay a visit to a veterinarian for a health check, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), and Heartworms, receive vaccinations, parasite treatment, are spayed/neutered and receive a microchip. We require a completed Adoption Application, which requests information about you, your family and household. Along with names and phone numbers of two personal references, and your Veterinarians name and phone number. We use this information and a personal face to face interview to match one of our Kitties personalities and characteristics with a potential new guardian, their families, and new environment. We ask for a $100.00 adoption donation to help cover our medical costs. If a match between one of our Kitties and you is found, you will be asked to sign a legal contract sealing your commitment and promise to provide a loving,
healthy and forever home for the Kitty. Adopt-A-Rescued-Kitty reserves the right to refuse to adopt to anyone that we feel would not be a suitable match, or anyone who might place the Kitty in harms way

We are not a shelter and use foster homes. If you would like to foster one of our kitties or help at our adoption events, please let us know.

If you can not adopt one of our kitties, please consider being a sponsor. Pick a kitty from our adoptable list or designate to sponsor a feral or unadoptable kitty. Just let us know which kitty you would like to sponsor and we will give you the kitties history and keep you up-to-date on their activities. Funding for sponsering a kitty can be mailed to the Adopt-A-Rescued-Kitty address listed below.

We are funded by donations through the generosity of the public. Donations are greatly appreciated and needed. Many of our rescues come to us requiring additional medical treatment for illness such as, infections, broken bones, diabetes, heartworms, neurological problems, cataracts, and enlarged hearts. This extra treatment expense is not always covered in the adoption fee and is paid from our own pockets. Please help us save them One Life At A Time.
