... to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home English Springer Spaniels in need.
Who We Are
English Springer Rescue America, Inc. (ESRA) is a nationwide rescue group and a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. We provide foster care and adoption referral services to shelters and animal control facilities with impounded Springers. We also assist owners who are unable to keep their Springers.
Please visit our national website at www.springerrescue.org to learn more about us and to see all the Springers in our care. Please note that the listings on our national website are more up-to-date than those on PetFinder.
The Florida ESRA PetFinder listings are intended to spotlight those dogs available in Florida and surrounding states.
Adopting a Friend
Thank you for considering a rescue Springer. Rescue Springers are extremely loving and intelligent dogs looking for a caring home willing to give them a second chance.
All dogs adopted through ESRA are neutered / spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and heartworm tested. Our dogs are evaluated in loving foster homes so we can better match their personalities and habits with those of their new families. Our adoption fee is $250 for all dogs, with the exception of our Springers for Seniors. This program allows us to place senior dogs into homes with seniors for reduced or no adoption fees. We have no paid staff; all of our members are volunteers and every dollar of the adoption fee goes towards saving other dogs. Those homes who successfully adopt a Springer through our referral program are asked to make a tax-deductible donation to help us care for other Springers in need of assistance.
We ask that you complete an adoption application, which can be found at ESRA's national website. Your application will help us determine not only what you are looking for in a dog, but will also let us know to which state/region or individual coalition member to send your adoption inquiry to.
ESRA is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, which allows your donation to be tax deductible.
Come Visit Us!
ESRA does not have a shelter facility. Most of our dogs are in foster homes, where they learn house manners, gain socialization skills, and where we have a chance to learn their personalities so that we can place them in the appropriate home. Please contact us to set up an appointment to visit one!
