Who We Are
The SPCA Suncoast is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to finding homes and caring for animals in need. From its inception in 1964 to the present, the SPCA Suncoast has grown into a facility which offers many services for homeless and abused animals. Our goal and commitment is to provide the animals in our care with a loving, nurturing environment until a suitable home can be found.
We believe that there is a special home for each of our pets and we offer them food, shelter, medical care and love while they are in our care. Consequently, we look to the public for our very existence. We rely soley on their generosity, accepting donations of any size, be they cash, securities, bequests in a will or as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Please contact us for more information. As a not-for-profit organization, all contributions are tax deductible.

At the SPCA Suncoast our first priority is to care for the animals in need at our shelter. Our second priority is to aid each person who enters our facility to find a “Lifelong Friend”. Our adoption counselors are ready to help you find the dog or cat that suits your lifestyle and will provide you with years of joy and companionship.
Policies:
We try to place healthy animals with good dispositions, therefore we ask that the following policies be followed:
We do not adopt dogs as guard dogs or hunting dogs. We require that all animals be kept inside. Certain breeds may require a fenced yard. We do not adopt any animal as a gift, however gift certificates are available. The SPCA Suncoast reserves the right to refuse any adoption. (These policies may be subject to change at any time)
