Our Featured Pet... BelindaBelinda Belinda is a domestic short hair cat. She is very gentle, friendly, affectionate and sweet. She is a great lap cat. Belinda came to us boxed up with numerous other cats and was thrown over our fence. Shortly after arriving at our shelter, Belinda's left eye was punctured and had to be removed; due to the overcrowding of cats at that time. Belinda has been at our shelter since May 2006. You can see more photos of Belinda by clicking on her photo above. If you think you might be interested in adopting her, please visit the Humane Society and spend some time with her. Come in, sit down and let her curl up in your lap for awhile. She may find a great new home and you may find a new best friend, too. Visit our shelter web site at www.NatureCoastHumanesociety.org to find out more about our other pets or call the shelter at (352) 796-2711. News
NEW NAME - NEW HOURS Our hours of operation have changed and are as follows:
Monday thru Friday - 10am to 6pm Our current needs are for clay cat litter, ultra bleach, Pedigree puppy and adult dog food, and Purina Cat Chow and Purina Kitten Chow. We always can use volunteers to help with animal care, fund raising projects and more. Our shelter has undergone renovations to make it an even better home for our homeless pets. We have expanded our cat cottage and are working to raise funds to build a new infirmary and area for our dogs. As we have space, we often rescue animals that are in danger of being put to sleep at animal control facilities. Please help us help as many homeless critters as we can with your donations and memberships. We depend on volunteers and would love to have you come by and help with the animals.hr color="#808080" size="1"> Who We AreThe Humane Society's mission is to provide a no time-limit home for all adoptable animals.
