Who We AreThe Humane Society of the Nature Coast, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to the rescue, health and re-homing of orphaned and abandoned cats and dogs. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for homeless, neglected and abused animals while promoting pet welfare and sterilization to achieve a no-kill society. We do this with the compassion and help of our dedicated staff, board members, volunteers, community service workers and business/corporate sponsors. Currently, we are attempting to build a new facility. The new facility will allow us to take in more cats and dogs as well as operate as an evacuation shelter for animals during hurricanes. Please visit our website for more information. Adopting a friendSo you're interested in adopting one of our dogs or cats! Please note that all of our animals are spayed/neutered (a voucher will be provided if the animal is too young to be altered), micro-chipped, vaccinated (rabies included), and are up to date on all of their shots. We also require that there is no cosmetic surgery (i.e., Declawing, Ear Cropping, Tail Docking) on any of the pets adopted from us. We do have you sign a contract ensuring that you understand our agreement.
