Who We Are
Mid-Florida Retreiver Rescue, Inc., is an animal welfare organization, comprised of Diane & Chuck O'Malley, and dedicated volunteers, with the help of a local veterinarian clinic. We have been granted 501[c] 3 status by the IRS. All of the animals that we are helping have found their way into our hearts, but we know that they need to find good permanent homes of their own as there are more waiting daily for our help.
We have no animal shelter but find fosters to help care for the pets. We adopt by application, which requires a veterinary reference, home visit, and the signed adoption contract. Please email us to request a copy of the adoption application and the contract.
Adopting a friend
Since we have no physical shelter we request that an application for adoption be completed and returned to us (email, fax or US Mail). The application is reviewed and the veterinary reference is checked. Once approved, an appointment to do a home visit and bring the potential adoptee is set up. If all is agreed on and everyone (especially the pet) is comfortable with each other we review the final adoption contract.
The adoption fee is$200 for dogs 7 months and older and $250.00 for puppies 6 months and younger.
All of the pets are up to date with vaccines, spayed / neutered, micro chipped, and are on heartworm prevention.
Please note: Mid-Florida Retriever Rescue is an all-volunteer organization. Due to staff limitations, we are not able to respond to e-mail inquiries regarding individual dogs up for adoption unless we have an application on file. Please be patient with us regarding a response as we also are balancing our families, business, and the rescue operations.
