Florida Greyhound Training and Socializing Center
2nd Chance at Life greyhounds are graduates of the 2nd Chance at Life: Greyhounds and Inmates Prison Partnership program where prison inmate caretakers live with them 24/7 and train them in more than 15 Obedience commands like HEEL, SIT, DOWN, COME, STAY, WAIT (stops darting our of doors and cars when a door is open), KENNEL (means go to bed) DOWN (means drop when they're in a dead run) SHAKE, NO BARK, and other behavioral commands during the 9-12 week course. They also learn to walk on slick floors, Poop on lead, walk up and down stairs and live in a home like atmosphere.
At the end of their training period they graduate and receive a Greyhound Good Citizen Certificate (GGC). The greyhounds in turn, teach the Inmate caretakers parenting skills, self esteem and responsibility and introduce them to un-conditional love as only a greyhound can give it. Please check out our FL GREYHOUND TRAINING CENTER greyhounds in the current session.
