Here he is today, free of heartworms, and adopted by a truly loving family. While here he gained a bit too much weight, so Nancy and Monty will be putting him on a diet and giving him more exercise.

- We are currently seeking foster homes for our rescues. The more dogs we can temporarily house in foster homes the more dogs we'll be able to rescue from overcrowded shelters. If you have room in your heart and home and would like to consider fostering one or more of our homeless dogs please fill out the Foster Care Application on our website.
Who We Are
Pekes and Pals Canine Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no-kill rescue organization. We rescue Pekingese and other toy breed dogs who are in danger of being euthanized in over-crowded shelters, turned in to rescue by owners who can no longer care for them, strays who are found abandoned, and find loving new homes for them. We are funded entirely by Donations and are manned entirely by volunteers. If you would like to consider volunteering please fill out the Volunteer Application on our website.

In order to adopt from Pekes and Pals Canine Rescue, Inc. we require that you complete the Adoption Application found on our website. References, Phone interview and an Adoption Donation fee are Required. We reserve the right to refuse any application for any reason. Once your application is approved you will be invited to meet the dog you have chosen. Please note that we do not, under any circumstances, ship any of our dogs. If the dog you chose indicates a willingness to bond with you then you may take him home with you, after completing the Adoption Contract. If the dog you chose is not interested in you then you are free to adopt one of the available dogs who shows a willingness to bond with you.
Pekes and Pals Canine Rescue, Inc. does not have a "shelter" and the dogs are housed in a private home where they are socialized with other dogs. Only approved applicants will be invited to visit .
