The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is a non-profit organization which was established in 1912. We are dedicated to ending animal homelessness and providing care and comfort to companion animals in need. Our organization offers shelter and adoption services to the community, and operates a low cost spay/neuter clinic available to the public by appointment.
As a member of ASPCA(R) Mission: Orange (TM), we are working together with the other organizations in our community toward the goal of eliminating the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets.

Adopting A Friend
Our Humane Society receives thousands of unwanted dogs and cats each year. The major reasons people surrender their pets are: unwanted litters, landlord/tenant problems, or lack of time to properly train. Please examine carefully your preparedness to deal with pet ownership. We do our best to find responsible and appropriate homes for the animals entrusted to our care. We believe that owning a companion animal is a privilege, not a "right".
