Our Pet of the Month is Beaula

Beaula 2 Beaula 3 Beaula 1

Beaula, our English Bulldog mix desperately needs a home. She has been with us for quite some time now and SHE IS NOT DOING WELL IN SHELTER CONDITIONS . . . She wants to just run and run and even though she has exercise for 20 minutes several times daily she seems very agitated with being in her kennel.
Her relationship with other dogs is unclear because she seems aggravated by some dogs at the shelter but ignores others. This may be due to the stress of being at the shelter but, from her personality, we think she would do better as the only pet: she craves attention, thinks she’s a lap dog, and seems jealous if other dogs get attention. She loves water.
BUT IT IS WHEN SHE INTERACTS WITH PEOPLE THAT WE GET TO SEE WHAT WE THINK IS THE REAL BEAULA—GOOFY, CLOWNISH, AND OFTEN HILARIOUS! So, if you need a little more laughter in your life--and let's face it, who doesn't?--why not let Beaula be the source!
We do not know a lot about Beaula prior to her time with us because she was found wandering in a Northside neighborhood and we never could find her owner. Beulah is spayed, up to date on her shots and micro chipped.

You can find adoption details for Beaula here

To qualify to adopt Beaula you must live in the Jacksonville area, have a fenced yard and be able to provide PRN with a vet reference. No exceptions. If you can give Beaula the home she deserves please contact Pet Rescue North!

Who We Are

Pet Rescue North is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter. Pet Rescue North, Inc. opened their doors in 1992 to abandoned, abused, and starving animals. Pet Rescue North exists through donations — money, food, and any other shelter supplies. All are gratefully appreciated. The ultimate goal is to place all our animals in forever homes. When animals come into Pet Rescue North they are examined by our veterinarian. All animals are spayed or neutered. They are brought up-to-date on all their vaccinations. They are tested for heartworms, and if they are positive, treatment is provided. Our goal is to never release a sick or injured animal.
