Our volunteers are typically in once a week to take photographs and they do their best to keep up so please stop by and see who we have in today as it is always changing.
Now Offering Microchipping - The Permanent Solution!
The Humane Society is now offering the microchip to any dog or cat for $25.00. This includes free activation. Stop by and get your pet microchipped for life today! Help your pet find their way home sooner.
Donations and Volunteers Needed!!
The Humane Society is always in need of canned dog, cat, puppy and kitten food, towels, dog beds, comforters, paper towels, trash bags, bleach, non-clumping kitty litter, white copy paper and dog & cat toys! Your donations are always appreciated and are also tax deductable. Volunteers and foster homes are also always in need. Volunteer Orientation Sessions are held the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. and the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Shelter. We have lots of opportunities available for animal lovers of all ages so please come walk dogs, play with the cats, help give baths or just sort donated goods at one of our thrift shops!

Wednesday and Thursday 11am to 7 pm.
Sunday 11am to 3pm!
The shelter is closed on all major holidays.

The Central Brevard Humane Society is a non-profit, 501c3 organization that cares for lost, unwanted, and abused animals. We strive every day to find loving, compassionate homes for those in our care. In our pursuit to improve the lives of the animals, we are currently seeking to raise money to make necessary renovations to our aging facilities! Adoption Fees
Specialty Doggies* Adoption fee = $200.00 (+$9.00 for county tag)
Puppies (1 year or younger) Adoption fee = $150.00 (+$9.00 for county tag)
Dogs (over 1 year old) Adoption fee = $100.00 (+$9.00 for county tag)
Cats (over 1 year old) Adoption fee = $55.00 (+$9.00 for county tag)
Kittens (1 year or younger) Adoption fee = $60.00 (+$9.00 for county tag)
Specialty kitties* Adoption fee = $100.00 (+$9.00 for county tag)
*A specialty pet is any pet who qualifies as a pure breed or those types in high demand.
Rabbits ($10.00 adoption fee), rodents ($5.00-$10.00 adoption fee), birds and lizards are also available for adoption on occasion.
Adoption fees include shots, general dewormer, flea treatment, and sterilization. Gift Certificates are also available!

We have your pet supply needs! Brushes, collars, leashes, crates, and more! Advantage and Frontline Plus for fleas and ticks and Heartgard for heartworm prevention is available. Easily located off of I-95...
From Daytona, Take I-95 S to the Cocoa exit #75, Road 520. Take 520 E 1/2 mile and turn left at the Chevron gas station onto Cox Road. The shelter is located 1 mile down on the left.
From Melbourne, take I-95 N to the first Cocoa exit #75, Road 520. Take 520 E 1/2 mile. Turn left at the Chevron gas station onto Cox road. The shelter is located 1 mile down on the left hand side.
From Merritt Island/Cocoa Beach. Take 520 W towards I-95. Just before the I-95 overpass, turn right onto Cox Road by the Chevron gas station. The shelter is located 1 mile down on the left hand side.
Thrift Shops
We have two Thrift Shops!
Molly Mutt 1 is located at 2525 N. Courtenay Parkway on Merritt Island.... come on in and see our newest thrift shop! New items arrive daily and furniture can always be found at great prices!
Molly Mutt 2 is located in Melbourne, on the corner of East New Haven Avenue and Waverly Place at 728 E. New Haven Ave.
All thrift shop proceeds go directly to the support of the animals. Your donations are greatly appreciated. Store hours are Monday through Saturday 10am to 5 pm. For directions please call:
