We are a group of volunteers for Polk County Animal Services, Polk County, Florida.
We manage a website that handles the information and images of the stray dogs and cats, and owner surrender pets brought into the Polk County Animal Control Kennels daily.
We try to ensure the most accurate information on the strays and adoptable pets, however, there are constant changes occurring throughout the day at the kennels.
We encourage everyone to visit the kennels in person if you are looking for a lost pet or if interested in adopting a homeless pet.
All information regarding ages, breed, etc. is provided by Polk County Animal Services.
Our Featured Pet...
The information and images on our website changes daily. Approximately 50 to 75 stray dogs and cats are brought into Animal Services every day. The untagged strays are held for 4 days pending owner redeemption. If the stray remains unclaimed, they are available for adoption unless they are sick, injured or aggresive. The majority of the strays are euthanized on the sixth day. Tagged strays are held for 10 days pending owner redeemption and then the same procedure for untagged strays is followed.
