Holly and Brooke are still our newly featured pets. They arrived starving, bloody, and hairless at a shelter in Port St. Lucie. The shelter did not have any room, so we took them in. Because they are very shy towards men they do not know, we think they were abused by their previous male owner. However, once they realize that you are their friend, they are the sweetest lab mixes you will ever come across. We wish greatly for them to find a home as a pair because they do everything together. We are in the midst of relocating, If you can help in any way, please contact us. We also need foster homes as well as permanant homes for our rescues. We would travel the lengths of the world to see these special doggies in a loving and forever home.
We would also greatly appreciate any monetary donations to help with sending Brownie to Smiling Dog Sanctuary our in Texas. She just does not want to be part of the resscue pack, and there they have a set up where she will have her own cottage and yard. The cost to set her up is $1,000.00 and then $100.00 per month to maintain her there. We also would appreciate monetary donations to help us with our medical expenses. Who We Are
Founded in 2001, Raining Cats and Dogs is a no-kill, non-profit organization. The majority of our rescue animals are emergency cases: They have been rescued days before euthanasia at animal control, or have been taken in emaciated and covered in mange as strays, or even rescued from cars nearly hitting them. Some were even rescued from the effects of dangerous hurricanes. Unfortunately, we are currently NOT taking in any new rescues due to monetary means. We adopt out our doggies at PetsMART on Glades and 441 in Boca Raton. We have a representative there Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 pm. Raining Cats and Dogs will gladly come to you if you are interested in a specific dog. We also encourage a fostering to adopt program to see if you and your new friend are compatable.
Adopting a friend
To adopt one of our animals, an application and donation are required. We also visit your home either prior to or at the time of adoption just to make the new adjustment process easier for our animals. The adoption fee is usually $100.00 for our doggies. Sometimes we make special deductions in our adoption donation for our needy rescues. The donation fee for Kitties is $65.00.
