Gainesville Rabbit Rescue

Who We Are

Gainesville Rabbit Rescue is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization. We aim to rescue and rehabilitate abused, neglected, and abandoned bunnies and find them loving, permanent homes. We provide public education about rabbit care through programs and a hotline.

Latest News

So many changes have occurred in the last six months! Thanks to the Wagmore Foundation and donations of individuals like you, the Bunny Barn is now fully enclosed, insulated, and quipped with central Heat & A/C. Now, the 50+ bunnies residing there get to do so in the safety and comfort of this indoor space. The next phase of our remodeling and enrichment project is the planning and construction of outside play areas. This is where the bunnies can not only get some fresh air but some exercise time as well.
We are still in need of donations to complete this project. So please, give what you can and share with your friends and family about all that GRR does for rabbits in North Central Florida.

GRR would like to thank Dr. Jones at Hilltop Animal Clinic for her generosity towards our GRR bunnies. All the the rabbits that have been spayed/neutered are healthy and happy and give shining reports on Dr. Jones and her staff. Please call (386) 462-3822 for your rabbit health care as well as other animal care.

Upcoming Events

GRR hosts Bunny Spa Day every Sunday at PetsMart on Archer Road in Gainesville from 11-4 pm. We're available to answer bunny-related questions and for a small donation we will give your bunny a thorough grooming. Also, come by to meet some of the available foster bunnies we have. You'll fall in love with them all.

We are also at Petsmart in Orlando, Daytona Beach, Ocala, Lady Lake, and Jacksonville on certain days. [Check our facebook page for dates and times on those locations.]

Adopting a friend

To begin the adoption process, send us an email. We adopt to indoor homes mostly, but do have a couple of exceptional rabbits that could live outside. All of our policies and procedures are included in the adoption application.

Come Visit Us!

All of our rabbits are placed in foster homes until they are adopted. You are welcome to meet the buns, but please make an appointment first.
