The Humane Society of Greater Miami/Adopt-A-Pet
Who We Are
The Humane Society of Greater Miami has been helping homeless animals in Miami-Dade County since 1936. Nearly 200 homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are cared for at our adoption center every day. We are able to give these animals a second chance by providing tender loving care for as long as it takes to find them homes with kind, responsible and committed caregivers.
The Humane Society of Greater Miami is dedicated to creating a more kind, just and loving community for the pets and people of Miami-Dade County by eliminating cruelty, neglect and pet overpopulation. We offer programs and services to educate, inform and inspire people to take responsible care of their pets and treat animals with the kindness they deserve. With the support of people from across the county, we are helping to create a better community for all.
Why Give to HSGM?
The Humane Society of Greater Miami/Adopt-A-Pet does not receive any funding from government agencies or from any other animal welfare organization. We relies completely on private donations, grants and fundraising events to raise the money needed to carry out its mission. We appreciate any level of support that you are able to provide to help us support our mission to place every dog and cat in our care into a loving home, and to promote responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter programs.
