Our Featured Pet...

We have a very sad update for Miss Sadie. Unfortunately, due to the terrible condition she was in and an advanced Heartworm infection, this poor girl developed a severe case of pneumonia. Her heart and lungs just could not withstand the strain and when she could no longer breathe without great labor, our vet knew that there was nothing more we could do for her, and we had to let her go. Sadie was a breeder...she was used to make money for her entire life and when she was no longer useful, she was dumped at a shelter. This is what you are supporting when you purchase a puppy from a pet store or puppy mill. Sweet Sadie was as thin as a rail, she had a raging infection in her milk ducts and she was heartworm positive...and yet, she was as gentle a giant as you could ever imagine. She deserved so much better...

Who We Are

We are a small group of volunteers that have formed in order to place homeless dogs into loving, forever homes. Our dogs are fostered in the comfort of our homes, thoroughly temperment tested, vaccinated and spayed/neutered before placement to ensure that your new pet is a good, healthy match for your family. It stuns us everyday that there are so many homeless, loving dogs sitting in shelters waiting to die in this country and, although our efforts may seem small in the grand scheme of things, we believe that every dog we help find the perfect placement for is a victory!

Adopting a friend

Once you contact us about your interest in one of our dogs or puppies, we will send you an application via e-mail. When you have returned a completed application to us, we will assess both your needs and that of the dog you are interested in and will contact you as soon as possible to let you know if we believe that it is a good match. Once you have been approved, we will set up a meeting with the dog and a home visit. Our adoption fee is $295 per dog/puppy. This fee includes all appropriate vaccinations and veterinary care, spay/neuter costs, and transport fees. There are exceptions to this fee when an animal needs more extensive medical care, but we will always disclose any additional costs in their description on this site. Please note that we do not adopt puppies into homes where they will be left alone all day. Babies need a lot of socialization and frequent potty breaks.
