This poor baby was euthanized in a shelter in North Carolina. She only had 3 days to get adopted and then she was out of time. Black dogs, particularly large black dogs like Labradors or Lab mixes, have a very difficult time getting adopted, and are euthanized at a staggering rate at many animal control facilities throughout the country. The sad truth is, they are overlooked in favor of lighter colored dogs. This is why we try to take in as many black dogs as we can. Please don't overlook our wonderful black dogs, they need you!
