Focusing on the rescue and fostering of pregnant females and their new litters.

"Delaware Puppy Rescue", located in Hockessin, DE is a 501(c) non profit rescue organization created to educate the public on responsible pet ownership and committed to saving the lives of deathrow pets.

DPR takes in expectant or new mothers and their pups to be raised in a healthy, loving family environment until they are ready for adoption.  With the help of family, friends and other rescue groups we pull pregnant or new mothers and their pups from various shelters along the East Coast to foster them providing complete medical care, socialization and training in a loving family environment.  We then adopt out these pups and mothers to approved families at the age appropriate time. 

  All of our pets are up to date on shots and have been examined by a veterinarian. All puppies and dogs six months and older are altered prior to adoption. Puppies under six months are adopted out with a spay/neuter contract with a deposit required. We also have adult dogs and dogs rescued from Puppy Mills. DPR is a non-profit organization. Costs from adoption fee's are applied to shelter pull fees, transportation costs, medical costs and various incidentals.
