Who We Are

We are a Non-Profit 501(c)3 All-Volunteer All-Spay/Neuter No-Kill Cat Rescue Organization primarily serving Seaford and Western Sussex County. Our purpose is to further the process of Delaware becoming a no-kill state, through the twin goals of 1) reducing cat procreation / overpopulation, and 2) reducing the euthanizing of cats and kittens, especially those that are tame and healthy. We coordinate a Low-Income Spay/Neuter program, and also coordinate a Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) endeavor for feral cats. In addition, we facilitate adoptions of kittens, 8 weeks and older, and cats, all of which are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. To further serve the community, we sponsor annual low-cost Rabies & Distemper Vaccination Clinics in the Fall, which serve as fund-raisers to support our rescue efforts. We are always seeking fun ways to raise funds. Our future goals include a cat and kitten adoption facility, a feral cat sanctuary, and an educational outreach for school age children. We are building a network of cat rescuers in Sussex County, and always welcome new volunteers! People that can participate either on a continual basis or just every so often, from a few hours a week to one day a year, could be of great assistance to our efforts! If you are interested in becoming a Helper, by donating and/or volunteering, please contact us!

Below are the links to 10 national organizations' specific WebPages on this topic, by its various names: Pediatric Spay/Neuter, Juvenile Spay/Neuter, Pre-Adoption Sterilization, Early Neutering, and Prepuberal Gonadectomy. (Also, The American Kennel Club has endorsed this protocol in a video produced by the American Humane Association, although they do not have a webpage endorsement.)
