News

The NECCOG Regional Animal Shelter is a safe haven for stray or unwantedcats and dogs. We see more than 300 dogs a year come through our door. We do what is needed to make these friends adoptable. For your next friend and family member, look us up. We have new animals all the time. The shelter is open to the public: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 10 - 4pm, and closed Saturday and Sunday. Please call to make an appointment for more one on one time with the animal of your choice and to ensure the animal control officers time to answer all of your questions.

Who We Are

The regional shelter serves the towns of Brooklyn, Canterbury, Dayville, Killingly, Pomfret, Sterling, and Woodstock.

Adopting a friend

For pets that are not already spayed or neutered, the fee is $50.00 which includes the spay or neuter, with rabies and distemper shots. Most area veterinarians participate in our spay/neuter program. If the pet is already spayed or neutered, the fee is only $5.00 (and does not include any vaccinations).
