Cat Adoption!

Come and meet ???

An eight year young tortoiseshell named Rose has finally been adopted. She was at Two Smiling Dogs! Come back here to see who will be there next. Rose came in to the shelter as a lost and homeless girl. It was suspected that she might have been hit by a car. Rose was at the shelter for four months and then she was taken to Two Smiling Dogs to find her forever home. Let me tell you about her. Rose, that is.....she lives to be loved . She does not care about anything else but having you pet her and give her lots of lovin'. She is curious, not shy! Loves attention. She has a mellow personality. What a sweetie. She's waited 4 months! Yes, 4 months, and now she wants to go home! What are you waiting for? Go down to 1869 Dixwell Avenue right now and meet Rose. The phone number at Two Smiling Dogs is 248-7297. If you are in search of a kind-hearted, cuddly, loving cat---look no further. You've found her.

Two Smiling Dogs is a gourmet bakery and treat shop with unique gifts for pets and their human companions located in the Home Depot shopping plaza in Hamden. Rose's adoption fee is $80.00. Proof of home ownership or permission from landlord is required for adoption. An application must be completed by you and approved by the New Haven Animal Shelter.

Thirteen-year-old Sabrina and her siblings were displaced when their family lost their home. Although they were given a month to pick them up, time was not on their side and are still looking for a home. The girls are very well cared for and already spayed. They would like to go home in pairs. Sabrina would like to go with her sister Felicia. The cost for both is only $70.

Inka #778

Featured dog
If this picture doesn't appear, click your "reload" or "refresh" button.

Eleven-year-old Inka is professionally trained. He is an unfortunate statistic......He had to move from his home because the insurance agent said he would cancel the poilicy if Inka stayed. This is a happy verbal guy that knows several commands. He has reportedly been schutzund trained and has responded to some of the commands given to him by the staff at the shelter. He wants to be someone loyal loves for his last years. Relatively healthy and has a great appetite.

King #602

Featured dog
If this picture doesn't appear, click your "reload" or "refresh" button.

Two y.o. King came from a home where he lived with two other dogs and has shown no aggression towards any dogs at the shelter. He is a pretty quiet and lovable boy who is handsome and affectionate. He will bond very quickly with someone who has a little love to spare. He has a peculiar characteristic of whining instead of barking to get attention or show excitement. Really nice sweet dog. Also knows his sit command and is easily trained with treats and praise. Check out King's video on youtube.
