Who We Are
We are the Friends of the New
Haven
Animal
Shelter, a group of volunteers dedicated to helping find responsible,
loving homes for the animals in our care. We hope to make the New Haven
Animal Shelter the first place residents think of when they decide to
adopt an animal. Most of the pets listed on our web site are at the New
Haven Animal Shelter; a few are being fostered by volunteers or by
friends until they find permanent homes.

Four-year-old Janet is a spunky girl. She has an outgoing
personality. She will slap you to play, but no claws are used. She
appears to be one of those really fun cats who will play
hide-and-go-seek with you and chase you around the house.

Brodie responds very very well with the leash if walked
(corrected) properly. "Very trainable". - 1/18/2010. You
can see a video of Brodie on youtube. Brodie is
one energetic guy. He would be a great match for an energetic person or
family who hikes or jogs. What a fantastic face he has...sooo cute !
Three-year-old Brodie was abandoned. He was found underweight and
scared. He is a loving dog that would love a new permenant home.

Although they have their hip deformities, it does not seem
to affect them -- they run around and play with each other when they
are outside the crates. They aren't timid. They are affectionate, but
not clingy. They seem very well adjusted even though they've been in
the shelter for so long - 1/18/2010 One-and-a-half-year-old Righty and
Lefty have very distinct problems with their hips. One limps on the
right and one limps on the left. We think they were either born that
way or suffered an inury due to neglect in their home where they were
abandoned. They are super sweet boys ready to be loved as they should.

Two-year-old Major has no place to live. His owner had him
and Precious tied out in a vacant lot attached to electrical cords as
leashes. The owners grandmother would not allow the dogs in her house
so they were essentially homeless. Major is a big crybaby mush that
enjoys atttention and is eager to please.
NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN
