"ADOPTED!"

News:

SAVE OUR SHELTER!

The Town of Ellington is considering closing the Ellington Animal Shelter, all dogs picked up stray or ROAMING would be transported out of town. Our shelter only needs minor repairs but the town is thinking they will save money.

We are asking people to step up and speak out that the town should have it's own shelter and not ship the dogs off to another location!

Who We Are

We are the municipal animal shelter for the Town of Ellington, CT. Begining Dec. 15, 2001, the Adoption fee will be $50, under the State Animal Population Control Program. This will include a certificate for Spay/Neuter and for shots, for CT. residents. The fee for adopters outside of Ct. is only $5. The fee for any pet that is already spayed or neutered is only $5. We do require an application to be filled out first and must be approved before an animal is adopted out.
