CONNECTICUT PITBULL RESCUE'S M I S S I O N

Our first mission is to educate the public on the American PitBull Terrier breed. We aim to destroy the ridiculous myths that surround these dogs, and replace them with actual statistics, educational literature and training information. Before we can help the dogs, we must teach the humans. Our second mission is to re-home loving and exceptional "Petbulls". We are against PitBull fighting and completely discourage owning the breed for anything other than family pets. Our rescue removes dogs only from animal shelters awaiting euthanasia. We believe that every PitBull deserves a chance. We promise to thoroughly evaluate each individual dog in regards to temperment and placeablity. Our goal is then to find permanent, loving homes for well deserving PetBulls. By doing so we are creating a name they can once again be proud of.

WHO WE ARE

Connecticut PitBull Rescue is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that was created to make a difference. We are a team of people who became disgusted with the treatment of the breed and the role that society has played in this ongoing battle. We are Veterinary Technicians, Obedience Trainers, Business Managers and Stock Brokers. We are moms and dads, grandmothers and grandfathers. Most important, we are all PitBull owners and enthusiasts.
