Who We Are
The Waterbury Animal Control provides numerous services to the community, including the investigation of complaints regarding animals. Animal Control is responsible for investigating animal cruelty cases, reports of rabid animals, and animal bites. The shelter houses both stray and owner-surrendered dogs. Owners of lost pets are encouraged to come in person to look for their lost pet and to file a lost report as soon as their pet is discovered missing. If you see an animal on our Web site that may belong to you, please contact our staff as soon as possible during business hours at (203) 574-6909. After an animal’s hold period is over (7 DAYS), unclaimed adoptable animals are made available to find a good home.

Adopting a friend
The Adoption fee will be $50.00, under the State Animal Population Program. This will Include a certificate for spay / neuter and two pre-surgical vaccinations, for CT. residents ONLY.
The fee for any pet that is neutered is only $5.00
The fee for adopters outside of CT. is only $5.00
