2010 RABIES VACCINATION CLINIC
Saturday, May 15th; 2-4 PM

Friends of the Shelton Animal Shelter is hosting our annual Rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday May 15th from 2-4 PM at the EMS building on Meadow Street. Rabies vaccinations are $12 per pet -- cash only. All pets must be leashed or in secure carriers. Certificate of prior vaccination (doesn't need to be current) is necessary to obtain 3 year certification. Pets without proof of prior vaccination will be certified for one year only.

Who We Are

Friends of the Shelton Animal Shelter, established in 1996, is a nonprofit organization composed entirely of volunteers. Our aim is to help slow the alarming reproduction rate by neutering as many animals as possible, as well as promoting homeless animals for adoption into permanent, responsible, loving homes. We are also working very hard to improve the conditions at the city animal shelter, with the hope of providing a better quality of life for its temporary charges.

Our group has provided for the vaccination, medical care, and neutering of hundreds of animals. We have also provided temporary foster homes for many cats who otherwise would have been destroyed, as the city's animal shelter currently does not have facilities to house cats. Our long term goal is to see the shelter facility either expanded or rebuilt to better accommodate the many needy animals in our community.
