Who We Are

We are NOT a shelter.

Yesterdays Kittens, Inc is a small group of FOSTER homes. We have NO shelter building. We DO NOT take owner surrendered cats and kittens. Most are feral and need to be socailized. The animals that are able to be socialized mix freely with our own pets, dogs included. Most come to us with critical health or behavioral issues related to the situations from which they were rescued. Once they are socialized and healthy they are placed up for adoption. Those that we are not able to socialized receive the vet care they need, are altered and returned to the colony from which they came.

YKI was formed to be a trap -neuter-return progarm for feral cat populations in the South and South Central areas aka the lower Connecticut River Valley. We provide shelter, medical care, and daily provisions for abandoned, abused, or otherwise unwanted cats and kittens. We do this by maintaining said shelter, providing medical care and services as needed, including - but not limited to - spaying, neutering, vaccinations, FIV and FeLV testing, and providing healthy food and fresh clean water in a healthy, safe environment. Also, to provide outreach services into the community, in order to locate appropriate adoptive homes for freindly cats and kittens or feral colony care takers for the feral cats and kittens upon their return to the habitate from which they came.

We HAVE received out 501(c)(3) status. That means ALL donations are tax deductible.

News

Help us become obsolete. PLEASE SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PETS!

FYI

How old is my cat anyway? The old saying that one human year is equal to 7 cat years is no longer deemed by vets to be true. The following table is posted in my vets' office.
1 cat year = 15 human years
2 cat years = 24 human years
5 cat years = 36 human years
7 cat years = 45 human years
10 cat years = 54 human years
7 cat years... this is when people and vets start considering a cat, senior. I don''t know about you but I don't consider 45 to be senior! I consider this to be prime since healthy well cared for cats have been known to live up to 21 years. That by the way is 100 in human years.

Yesterdays' Kittens, Inc has received 501(3)(c) status. We are officially non-profit. Any donation may be deducted from your taxes. If you would like to send a deductable donation to help us help these kitties please use the PayPal button below - Or you can send a check or money order to the address below - we will keep you updated on where the monies go and who they help.
