Who We Are
CCAC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is striving to build a veterinary hospital for Connecticut's low-income residents.
The mission of Compassionate Care Animal Center is to improve the health and well-being of animals in need and to provide shelter, medical care, and an enriched environment to homeless animals.
Statement of Principles
The guiding principles of this organization are to:
• Provide quality, comprehensive veterinary care to animals.
• Provide reduced cost veterinary care to animals from low or fixed income homes.
• Reduce pet overpopulation through affordable spay/neuter programs.
• Promote responsible pet care through preventive health care and education.
• Collaborate with community organizations to achieve common goals.
• Provide a peaceful, healthy living environment for homeless pets regardless of age, illness, or handicap until a suitable permanent home can be found
Adopting a friend
We want to make sure we match you with the most compatible pet to fit your home and lifestyle. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, treated for fleas/ticks/earmites, dewormed, and spayed/neutered. All adopters that live on a rental property must provide us with the manager/landlord's name and contact information so we can verify that pets can be housed on the premises. A $85.00 adoption donation is requested for each animal and helps us to continue to provide the best possible care to animals in our organization.
Come Visit Us!
We currently do not have a facility to visit. All of our adoptable pets are housed in loving foster homes. Contact us to schedule a visit with an animal your interested in.
