News

We need your generous support to maintain our shelter. You may use Pay Pal or a credit card to make a donation on our website at www.forgottenangelsinc.org to help the animals. Checks may be mailed to: 442 Rixtown Rd Griswold, CT 06351. No amount is too small. Our animals really appreciate your help! We are also in need of volunteers to help with cleaning the shelter, fundraising ideas, help with our newsletter, and foster homes for incoming animals. Please contact Kathy Playdon if you can help at for.angels@yahoo.com We will have a limited capacity of forty cats. When we have more volunteers we will take in dogs on a case by case basis. The dogs will receive obedience training prior to adoption to help curb incidents of returns due to behavior problems. Our grand opening of the shelter was held on May 19th, 2007. It was a great success thanks to everyone's hard work! We had raffles, prizes, and free food & refreshments. Jimmy Lane of WCTY graciously helped promote the event.

Who We Are

The primary mission of Forgotten Angels Sanctuary is to maintain a “no- kill” animal shelter and to aid in the rescue and rehabilitation of abused and abandoned animals. To help stop the over population of animals by assisting in spay/neuter programs and to provide humane care and treatment for all animals in need of protection in the area served by us. To seek to return lost animals to their owners, to seek suitable homes for animals without owners and to aid in the rehabilitation of injured wildlife and return them to the wild when possible.

Adopting a friend

ADOPTION POLICIES  Forgotten Angels will not approve an adoption if the cat will be allowed outside unsupervised or if the adopter intends to declaw the cat. Upon the adoption of a kitten, the spay/neuter shall be the responsibility of the adoptor. A contract must be signed stating that the cat will not be allowed outside, will not be declawed, and will be spay/neutered at six months of age. Please go to our website at www.forgottenangelsinc.org to down load an adoption application or e-mail Forgotten Angels at for.angels@yahoo.com
