Mary's Kitty Korner is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. We are a very small volunteer-run organization that shelters homeless kitties at our adoption center and in loving, foster homes.
We are commited to finding a safe haven for cats that have been abandoned, abused or left homeless due to their owner's lack of ability to care for them.
We are open to the public every weekend and during the week by appointment. Come visit us Saturday 11-2 and Sunday 12-3. Our Granby Adoption Center has so many gorgeous cats to choose from!!! Handsome tuxedos, adorable kittens, Bombay mixes, orange tigers, lovable declaws to name just a few! Our wonderful, cats are just waiting for loving homes.

We Need Your Help
Spotty is just the cutest little guy! What a rough life he has had before coming to MKK. he was stuck inside a car engine and got burned over many areas on his skin. All have since healed and fur grown back. He has cute, little stubby whiskers and unfortunately the only residual injury left that you can notice is a missing hind foot. This little guy gets around with the energy of the energizer bunny. He runs and plays and talks like crazy. He is lovable and affectionate. Probably would do best in a home with one other cat who can play with him but is not aggressive. This boy is barely over a year old and tiny.
Spotty’s story is one of many that come our way and we need funds to help these cats get back on the road to recovery. Won't you please click on our "Donation" button if you feel that you would like to help kitties like Spotty to have a better life. Without your generosity and sponsorship we are unable to help those that need us most. No amount is too small so please consider making a doantion today. Thank you!!

Matt, Marvin, Mark
”Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero” ~ Marc Brown
These three boys were so scared when they came to us they just slept in a heap and stared at us with big eyes. Now they enjoy attention, and can be held and kissed. They still sleep in a heap! They are about 6 months old, very playful and active, good eaters and very sweet in temperment. Although they are still shy, they have learned to trust their human caregivers and will be wonderful additions to a quiet, cat loving home.
Tiny and HarleyQuinn
”The best thing about having a sister was that I always had a friend” ~Cali Rae Turner
These two adorable sisters are about 6 months old. The all black one is so sweet and friendly, her sister is a bit shy. They both get along beautifully with other cats and will sleep with other youngsters and play like crazy. They are good eaters and use their litter box perfectly. If youa re looking for two cuties to bring home, these girls would make a great addition to a cat loving home.
Adoption Process:
Please e-mail or call to let us know which cat you may be interested in adopting. One of our volunteers will contact you and talk with you about the animal. At that time we will answer any questions you may have. An appointment to see the animal will be set up once the initial contact is completed. Once the new owner is ready to take the cat or kitten home, all health records will be given to the new owner for there records. Each home should be able to provide good veterinary care when needed. An adoption fee is required at this time. All of our cats/kittens are returnable, for any reason, at any time. There will be follow-ups with the volunteer handling the adoption so that the transition from Mary's Kitty Korner to your home will be a smooth one.
Foster Recovery Program:
Are you unable to take on the long-term commitment of owning a cat/kitten but want to help an animal in need?
Mary’s Kitty Korner is accepting applications for caring animal lovers willing to open their homes and hearts to cats/kittens requiring a safe place to stay while they recover from an unexpected illness or accident.
These animals are in urgent need of extra attention, love, and aid that just can’t be provided sufficiently in a shelter environment. MKK will pay for the animal’s vet care, medication, food as well as provide a kennel/crate and ongoing support.
If you are willing to foster one of these special needs kitties during their short-term recovery, or until we find them a permanent home, please contact an MKK representative at (860) 379-4141 or (860) 930-3696 and mention our foster and recovery program
Shelter Wish List:
Many people are unable to foster a cat, but would still love to help in some way. We always have cats that have veterinary needs such as spay/neuter and medication. Food and litter alone can gobble up our funds in no time. Since we are all volunteers and rely entirely on adoption fees and donations, we sometimes have to turn away cats simply because there are not enough funds to cover their expenses. Any donation is appreciated, whether it be $5 or $10 and will go a long way in helping our cats! We are a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, and therefore all donations are tax deductible.
- Monetary donations
- Petco/Petsmart gift certificates/cards
- Dry cat food - (Science Diet)
- Cat treats
- Cat toys (cat nip toys, things to chase and bat)
- Cat litter (feline pine)
- Food and water bowls
- Laundry and dish detergent
- Paper towels, sponges
- Bath-size and hand-size towels and wash cloths
- Cat beds
Scratching Posts:
In an effort to raise money to spay/neuter and care for our rescue kitties in foster care, we are currently selling cat scratching posts. They are about 3 ft high and the cats love them! Especially when they are doused with catnip! They really do work. A great investment at only $40 - very inexpensive compared to pet supply stores. Great way to preserve your furniture too! Please e-mail if interested in purchasing one of these awesome kitty scratching posts.
