Our Featured Cat: ABBY

Abby needs a new home!!! She is a super great cat, with lots of energy and loads of personality. She is a very pretty girl, long and sleek with beautiful white fur and orange accents. Abby loves to play and talks to the birds constantly. She will sit on your lap, lick your fingers when she wants attention. She is a great computer companion! Her only fault (if you want to call it that) is she really doesn't like other cats and would do well in a single cat home. She would probably do great with a dog that likes cats. Please call or email about Abby, She really is looking forward to a new home soon!!!

Please adopt BRUNO!!!

Bruno has a beautiful face and a wonderful disposition. He is very gentle and loves people. He is a talker too! He would be great as a family companion and would get along well with other animals. He has been neutered and has all of his shots. Bruno has tested a slight positive for the FIV virus. Please do not pass up a wonderful opportunity to give a great cat a loving home. Bruno is not aggressive and gets along well with cats. Please see the article on FIV+ cats at www.bestfriends.org Please call or email if you would like more information. 860-379-4141

Who We Are:

Mary's Kitty Korner is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. We are a very small volunteer-run organization that shelters homeless kitties through loving, foster homes. The foster homes provide a safe haven for cats that have been abandoned, abused or left homeless due to their owner's lack of ability to care for them. All cats or kittens are Vet checked and tested for FIV/FeLV, given their booster shots and spayed /neutered as they come of age.

Adoption Process:

Please e-mail or call to let us know which cat you may be interested in adopting. One of our volunteers will contact you and talk with you about the animal. At that time we will answer any questions you may have. An appointment to see the animal will be set up once the initial contact is completed. Once the new owner is ready to take the cat or kitten home, all health records will be forwarded to the new owner's veterinarian. Each home should be able to provide good veterinary care when needed. An adoption fee is required at this time. All of our cats/kittens are returnable, for any reason, at any time. There will be follow-ups with the volunteer handling the adoption so that the transition from Mary's Kitty Korner to your home will be a smooth one. If you are looking for reliable petsitting services, once you have adopted your new addition, please visit: http://www.homecomfortpetcare.com/

Scratching Post Sale!:

In an effort to raise money to spay/neuter and care for our rescue kitties in foster care, we are currently selling cat scratching posts. They are about 3 ft high and the cats love them! Especially when they are doused with catnip! They really do work. A great investment at only $35 - very inexpensive compared to pet supply stores. Great way to preserve your furniture too! Please e-mail if interested in purchasing one of these awesome kitty scratching posts.

WISH LIST: Donations

Are you looking for a great way to help one of our kitties?

Many people are unable to foster a cat, but would still love to help in some way. We always have cats that have veterinary needs such as spay/neuter and medication. Food and litter alone can gobble up our funds in no time. Since we are all volunteers and rely entirely on adoption fees and donations, we sometimes have to turn away cats simply because there are not enough funds to cover their expenses. Any donation is appreciated, whether it be $5 or $10 and will go a long way in helping our cats! We are a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, and therefore all donations are tax deductible.

Please make checks payable to Mary's Kitty Korner and mail to:
