All of the pets here are great, and I always feel bad trying to pick one over the other. So, just click on the link above (Our Adoptable Pet List, Happy Tails are pets that have already gone home through the magic of Petfinder!) and visit all of our wonderful pets, who are all looking for new homes! If you don't see anything you like, check with other organizations, such as Breed Rescue Groups, and other municipal facilities. And keep checking! Things change quickly!

Who We Are
We are a municipal Animal Control Facility. Most of our dogs are picked up as strays. Occasionally, a dog will be signed over to us by the owner. We try to gather as much information as we can about the health and temperament of our pets, but we can make no guarantees. We do not handle cats, either owned or stray.
Adopting a friend
Come check out the pets we have for adoption. Call to find out who's in the kennel. Changes can happen quickly, although sometimes pets stay here for a long time. All pets are adopted through the State of CT Animal Population Control Program (APCP) for Connecticut residents.The adoption price is $50. You will receive a certificate good at many area veterinarians which entitles the new owner to 2 pre-surgical vaccinations, and a spay or neuter surgery, all provided free! If you are unfortunate (or perhaps fortunate) enough to live outside the state, the adoption fee is reduced to $5, but you get none of the benefits. You are then on your own for vaccines and spay/ neuter. Sorry. For further info, call us.
