When considering adopting a pet - why not think about adopting an adult cat? Felines have a strong sense of belonging, and when they lose their homes, to many it is devistating. Once adopted, they know they're secure again and show their appreciation in so many loving ways.

Who We Are
Straykatz is a service to assist rescue people in vetting, rehabilitating and re-homing their rescued cats. We are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charity. Because the foster people connected with Straykatz have limited space, the cats and kittens receive a great deal of love and affection along with the best of medical attention. All animals up for adoption are clean and healthy - all cats and kittens are spayed/neutered (unless they cannot be for medical reasons), have been Leukemia/Aids tested and have all the necessary vaccinations for their ages. Straykatz is an all-volunteer organization, and we rely strictly on donations, which are tax-deductable.
Adopting a friend
Straykatz strives to place these animals in the best possible homes. All prospective adopters must fill out an application that can be done via e-mail, fax, US post or telephone. All applicants will be asked for a vet reference; tenants will be asked to supply proof that pets are allowed in their dwelling either with a copy of their lease or written permission from their landlords. In order to determine the best situation for each animal, Straykatz may accept several applications for a cat or kitten, and Straykatz reserves the right to deny any application.
The suggested adoption donation amount is $120.00 - 100% of the donation goes towards rescuing, rehabilitating, vetting and caring for our cats. Because we are recognized by the IRS as a non-profit organization, your contribution is tax deductable. There is a discount for senior citizens, and no donation is required for any person who qualifies for assistance through A.I.D a Pet.
Straykatz will be happy to hold the kitten of your choice providing your application has been approved, and you have made a non-refundable contribution.
