Cat Application

Completion of an application does not mean that you are approved. You MUST have a veterinarian reference to adopt. When we check a veterinarian reference on your current or past pets, we are looking for a vaccine history, spay/neuter and if you have followed through with veterinarian recommendations for your pet(s). All pets must be up to date on vaccines and spayed or neutered. For adoption of DOGS you must own your own home.

All our animals over 4 months of age are spayed or neutered. When adopting a puppy or kitten under 4 months of age, you must sign a contract agreeing to spay or neuter by 6 months of age. You must be 21 years of age to adopt. You will also meet with one of our adoption coordinators for an interview.

Sometimes there is more than one application for a particular animal. We choose the home that best suits the pet. We reserve the right to refuse an adoption. Most of our animals have been through some kind of trauma in their short lives. Our animals can not speak for themselves, so as their guardians we speak for them.

We are looking for volunteers to help us by feeding the cats and cleaning their cages. They love getting special attention and playtime out of their cages. It's very rewarding to help these animals in need. If you are a responsible, dependable person please consider giving us a hand. We also need foster homes for some of our animals. Foster and volunteer applications can be found online at Rosehope.org.

Rose Hope Animal Rescue relies solely on donations to do their work. You can donate items that we need for our animals care:

Paper Towels

Large Garbage Bags

Canned Cat and Kitten Food

IAMS Cat, Dog and Puppy Food

Fresh Step Cat Litter

Blankets and Beds

Frontline or Advantage

During Kitten season, KMR (kitten formula) is in great demand.

Who We Are: Rose Hope Animal Rescue

Rose Hope Animal Rescue is committed to helping the homeless cats and dogs in the Waterbury, CT. area. We work tirelessly to help as many as we can. We try to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. If you are feeding strays or feral cats, you must find a way to spay or neuter. There is a low cost Clinic available called H.O.P.E Clinic (Halt Overpopulation Prevent Euthanasia). Their new location is 214 Canal Street, Unit # 1, Plantsville Connecticut. 06479. Plantsville is part of Southington. The phone number is (203) 437-7955.

We are always in need of safe and reliable foster homes for our animals. Kitten season is especially stressful. Foster families must be able to provide care and food to the animals and to transport them to adoption events or to the vet. Rose Hope takes care of all medical needs. Dogs and puppies need foster homes too! Please fill out the Foster application at Rosehope.org.
