DONATIONS NEEDED TO PAY VET. BILLS
:
We understand that today is financially stressful for all of us but please remember our furry friends depend on you.We gratefully accept any donation no matter how small.Every penny counts! Our cats and dogs need veterinarian care.We use Banfield the Pet Hospital of Waterbury.Every adult cat and dog is spayed or neutered before finding a new home. They also receive all required shots and medical care not to mention the special cases that may need blood work, surgery, additional medical tests. We don't give up on our animals and we will provide the necessary care they may need. This is our greatest expense.Every week our vet.bill is at least a thousand dollars. We rely totally on public support. So please give whatever you can.Remember we are tax exempt under section 501(c)3 ,which makes us tax deductible. Our animals need your help! You can make a difference. Please make your check out to Rose Hope or Banfield and mail to us:

MORNING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
RIGHT NOW WE ARE ALL SET FOR VOLUNTEERS.THANK YOU.We're looking for a couple of volunteers to help us by feeding the cats and cleaning their cages in the morning. They also love getting some attention. It's very rewarding to be able to help animals in need. Monday through Friday, around 9:30 to about 11:00. Sometimes a little longer, other times a little less, depending on how many cages need cleaning and how many cats need feeding. Please, if you're a responsible, dependable person, and you have a morning or two free, consider giving a hand.Volunteering one morning a week would be so helpful. We need you and so do our cats.If you are interested contact Cathy (203-596-9997)from Rose Hope during cat adoption hours:Mon.-Fri.6:30pm-8:00pm, Sat.1:00pm-5:00pm, Sun.12:00pm-2:00pm.
OUR WISH LIST
If you can't volunteer your time, you can help in other ways. You can donate items that we need to take care of our animals. We always can use paper towels, canned kitten, cat, puppy, and dog food, Frontline, Advantage, cat and dog toys, cat and dog beds, blankets towels, dog collars and leashes, cat litter, garbage bags.Since it's kitten season, KMR(kitten formula)is in great demand. We are also in need of a good dehumidifier.Any of these items would greatly be appreciated.
Who We Are: Rose Hope Animal Rescue
We are trying to help the homeless cats & dogs in the Waterbury area.We are a small group of people who really care about animals. We work tirelessly to help as many as we can, but it gets frustrating because of the unlimited number, especially of cats. It's because of the ignorance of people that our animals are suffering. They are starving, sick and struggling to just survive. We try to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets.If you are feeding cats, you must find a way to also spay and neuter them as well, otherwise you are becoming part of the problem. So please join us in our mission .Do whatever you can in your own neighborhood to help felines in need.Become part of the solution.

ADOPTION POLICY
Potential adopters would complete our adoption application first.Completion of the application does not mean you are approved.OUR POLICY IS NO VET.REFERENCE NO ADOPTION. We must ensure that the animals we adopt out to new homes are going to responsible owners. Therefore, a vet. reference is the only way we can see if a potential adopter would be a responsible pet owner. When we check a veterinarian reference on current pets or past pets, we are looking for a vaccine history, spay/neuter and if you have followed through with veterinarian recommendations for your pet.All pets must be spayed or neutered and current on vaccines. For adoption of dogs, one of the requirements is that you must own your own home. There is an adoption fee for each animal. This fee is considered a donation and is non-refundable.You must understand that the fee covers only a portion of the medical care we have put into each animal. You must meet with one of our adoption counselors in person for the interview. You must also be at least 21 yrs.of age to adopt. We will not decide on a home over the phone. We also will not ship out any of our animals. Some of the factors we take into consideration when we are deciding on potential owners are: the responses on the application, the interview, the vet. consult, the needs of an individual pet. When you fill out the application, that does not mean you are getting the pet. That is the first step in the adoption procedure.Sometimes there is more than one application for a particular animal. We pick the home that best suits the pet.If there are equally qualified adopters then the home will be chosen by a first come first serve basis. If you do not meet our requirements, we reserve the right to refuse an adoption. Most of our animals have been through enough trauma in their lives. Some of them have come out of some horrific experiences. We are trying to find them the best possible homes. We also want to make sure that our animals go to lifetime homes. None of us are paid for doing this. We rescue these animals because we love them and we are dedicated to them. Thanks for understanding.
FOSTER HOMES NEEDED
We are always in need of foster homes. If we had more people to volunteer their service to foster we could help more cats and kittens. Most people don't understand what is happening in today's world with the unbelievable amount of homeless cats and kittens. They are everywhere out there. Most are in desperate need of the basics to survive. They cannot fend for themselves as some people mistakenly believe. The cats that we've rescued from outside right now are incredibly thirsty, drinking bowls of water and they are of course starving. There are many people that move and leave their cats behind unspayed and unneutered. That is why we have so many felines in need. They don't deserve this suffering. So please consider joining us in our mission to help these beautiful creatures. Because of today's financially difficult times foster families must be able to provide for any foster animals and be able to transport the pet to and from the vet and adoption events. We take care of all medical needs. We are also in need of foster homes for dogs and puppies too. So if you would like more info. contact Cathy at the Waterbury Petsmart (203-596-9997) during these hours:6:30pm-8:00pm.Mon.-Fri., 1:00pm-5:00pm.Sat., 12:00pm-2:00pm.Sun.
