9 Lives Rescue Inc.

Red:
Female - Australian Shepherd / Labrador Retriever - 12 months
I am a VERY active girl, I love to run and play, I will be your best friend. I had a rough start to life but I am willing to learn and want to be part of your family. I am good with other dogs but I really love people.
Socrates: Tall, dark and handsome looking for soul mate. If you enjoy exploring, playing, and fine dining them I am your boy. Some say I was a diamond in the rough, but thanks to my foster family who recognized my Siamese ancestry, and their resident kitties, I flourished into a well adjusted fellow. I am not opposed to the occasional cuddle, which I have to admit makes me purrrrrrrr. I'm a wonderful black young neutered male.
FOSTER HOMES DESPERATELY NEEDED FOR CATS/KITTENS - - Over five million dogs and cats are put to death every year because they cannot find homes. You can help prevent these needless deaths by spaying and neutering your pets and by encouraging friends and family to do the same. You can also help by finding room in your hearts and homes for a homeless animal. Please adopt, or consider fostering, a homeless dog or cat.
9 Lives Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which depends soley upon unpaid volunteers to operate. As we don't have a shelter, we keep our cats in foster homes until they are adopted. Thus, the number of animals we can rescue depends directly on the number of fosters home we have - the more people willing to foster, the more animals we can rescue. We are also a "no-kill" organization and will euthanize an animal only if its health is so poor that trying to keep it alive would be cruel to the animal. It is our objective to make every effort to place all animals that come into our care into appropriate loving homes.
While most of our cats are in foster homes, you can visit some 9 Lives cats every day at the Powers PetsMart (NE Powers & Constitution) during regular store hours. In addition, 9 Lives holds a cat adoption fair every Saturday when adopters can come and meet our animals. If you find one you like, you fill out an application and can adopt when it is approved. If you see one of our fosters on our webpage, we can also email you an application. There is an adoption fee which goes directly to cover the costs of maintaining our foster animals. We do have some wonderful older animals and shy animals who need homes. Please keep them in mind when looking for a companion.
We are a network of foster homes and do not have a shelter. However, we do have cats available for adoption at the Powers PetsMart (NE Powers & Constitution) every day.
We hold weekly cat adoption fairs on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m at the Powers PetsMart.
If you are looking for a particular cat, please contact us and we can let you know how to meet that particular animal.
