Our Featured Pet...

Petey is a happy go lucky 1 1/2 year old Pit Bull mix. This guy is happy and goofy. He has lots of canine friends. We think he will thrive in a consistent home who continues to train and exercise him. He promises lots of love and laughs.

Who We Are

ARF Colorado is a an all volunteer, no kill group dedicated to rescuing and finding homes for abandoned animals in and around our valley.

We don't currently have a shelter, but we hope to soon. ARF will rescue animals and place them in foster homes or local boarding kennels. We are working towards opening our own shelter in the future in order to save so many of the animals that have no other options.

Join our 106 in 2006 campaign! We are taking pledges on the number of animals we place in homes in 2006. Our goal is to place 106 animals in 2006. A matching pledge will double your donation! We have many expenses including boarding and the cost of shots and spay neuter for each animal. Our adoption fees do not cover these costs, but if we raise $75 in pledges per animal, with our matching pledge and adoption fees, we will cover all of our costs this year! So pledge a dime or a dollar per animal - everything helps!

Adopting a friend

Our adoption fees are $160 for puppies and purebreds,$100 for dogs adn $75 for cats. All of our animals are current on their vaccinations and are spayed or neutered as age appropriate. Our dogs recieve obedience training during their stay with us. We highly recommend you continue this process. We will consider out of town adoptions. Please first fill out an application at www.arf-colorado.com if you are interested in one of our animals or feel free to email to inquire about their status. Phone calls will be returned AFTER we recieve an application. We keep these pages very current, so any animal you see here is most likely available. We are located about 3 hours west of Denver near Aspen, CO and will happily work with out of town adopters who meet all of our criteria. We board most of our animals at the Apline Meadows Kennel in Basalt, CO. It is located at 329 Holland Hills Road in Basalt, CO, 24 miles south of Glenwood Springs easily accessible off of Highway 82. You must fill out an application, speak to us and arrange an appointment to meet any animal. Unfortunately we cannot accomodate drop in visitors at this time.
