CAWS needs more foster homes in our Western Slope area. Please email us if you would be interested in fostering one of our homeless pets. We provide food and shelter.
Who We Are
We are a group of concerned citizens in Delta County of Colorado. Delta County has no animal shelter but the need is overwhelming. Our group is a non-profit organization that was formed to take in and care for the abandoned and abused pets in our county. We hold fund raising events and take donations to cover the costs of caring for these animals until good homes can be found.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption fee is $80 for dogs and $35 for cats. We ask that you complete our adoption application form which we will email to you upon request. A home visit is done if at all possible. We encourage a trial period to see if you and our adoptees are right for each other. All of our pets, that are of age, have been spayed or neutered and are current on vaccinations.

We are a group of private citizens that foster animals in our homes. If you are interested in a pet from our list, the person that is fostering is the contact. Call or email to arrange a visit.
