In the past two years, BARC has rescued and placed more than 150 Bernese Mountain Dogs, most rescued from auctions where they would have been bought for commercial breeding programs, regardless of their health or suitability for breeding.
Who We Are
The mission of the Bernese Auction Rescue Coalition is to rescue Bernese Mountain Dog puppies and breeding stock from
abusive or exploitive situations that include inadequate veterinary care, malnutrition, poor sanitation, inhumane kennelling, excessive breeding and insufficient socialization. All dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
