Buck’n-R-Ranch Animal Rescue, Inc. ("BRRARI"), is a “no kill” animal rescue and sanctuary established in February 2011 for the purpose of providing a safe haven for both house pets and farm animals in need. BRRARI serves as a charitable and educational service for the surrounding communities of Franktown and the Durango area. Our ultimate goal is to provide shelter through our Foster Home Program, administer health care, train, rehabilitate and then re-home through our Adoption Program.
Although BRRARI was established in February 2011, due to the lengthy application and approval process, it was not until April 2012 that BRRARI was approval as a 501(c)3 Non Profit organization.
BRRARI currently has facilities in two Colorado locations: 11152 E. Folsom Point Lane, Franktown, CO 80116, which is located 12 miles east of Castle Rock and 5974 CR 116, Hesperus, CO 81326, which is located 30 miles SW of Durango. The Franktown Facility is located on a 20 acre ranch and houses our Rehabilitation and Training Center, Animal Intake Center and our Sanctuary where animals can live out their lives with dignity and respect. Also located in Franktown is our Administrative office which was relocated from Durango in November 2012. The Hesperus Facility is overseen by a facility manager and is located on a 35 acre parcel of land and is set up as our Animal Intake Center for Farm Animals in Durango and its surrounding communities. Animals from this location are transported to our Franktown Facility for training and rehabilitation before being placed in our Adoption Program.
