MO KENNEL FIRE DOGS

**************************************************************************************************************************************************************

GSPS NEED HELP!!!

URGENT! COURTESY POSTING!! "COMMERCIAL BREEDER KENNEL FIRE IN MISSOURI!!" Missouri Kennel set on fire. Over 150 dogs including 75 GSPs, Springer Spaniels and Boxers are going to rescues. They need help DESPERATELY! Please read below: Brianna with GSP Rescue and Midwest Paws is taking all 75 of the German Shorthaired Pointers in need. Whew! Please help if you are able to. What a huge job for Brianna and her group! Please read the message below for all of the information for contact. Support Rescue and your local Humane Societies! Buying from pet stores only perpetuates the tragedies and inhumanity suffered by our fellow creatures. Midwest PAWS, will be taking in all 75 GSPs tomorrow, as the MO Dept of Agriculture has offered to transport the dogs to her. They would only release the dogs to a licensed MO rescue. Brianna’s rescue vet has offered his adoption center, which has 40 kennels, and, extra space for crates. The kennel fire resulted in burn injuries to some dogs. The most critically injured dogs were taken in by a local MO Humane Society, but Brianna expects some of the dogs that arrive tomorrow will have some minor burns that will require a bit of extra veterinary care. And, we do not yet know whether any of the bitches are pregnant. Here are some of the current needs: There is an IMMEDIATE NEED for funds for veterinary care. The estimate for the “basics” on each dog (vaccines, spay/neuter, HW test, etc.) is about $120. There may be more of a discount available, given the volume, but that is the initial estimate based on the vet’s normal rescue pricing. If you are able to make a monetary donation for the immediate needs of the dogs, please do so through the Pay Pal link on the group’s website: http://www.midwestp aws.com. The group desperately needs crates, blankets, bedding, food, and other supplies (leashes, collars, toys, etc. would also be helpful). A great way to make this happen is to shop online, and have the items shipped directly to the address below. I suggest a wholesale site like www.petedge. com for great pricing on the basics. Or, you can use other online retailer of choice. All deliveries should be shipped to: Midwest PAWS C/O Gail Russell 1109 Blue Branch Drive Grain Valley, MO 64029 816-847-0908

Rescue has been overwhelmed with unwanted, abused, injured and neglected dogs. In order to maintain rescue efforts, we need support! With the ever-rising costs of veterinary and ordinary everyday expenses, it is becoming increasingly difficult to rescue and rehab these animals. Most pets have had little or no medical care and require Spays/neuters, heartworm checks, all vaccinations, worming and micro-chipping. They receive basic training and behavior modification and are put on healthy diets in order to help them become confident and happy dogs that will ultimately go to appreciative homes for life. Adoption donations don't cover the minimum costs. All donations are greatly appreciated! PLEASE make a donation. THANK YOU!

IN MEMORY OF RESCUERS AT THE BRIDGE

In Memory- Linda Fox of Ignacio for all the kind deeds and help...we won't forget your kindnesses.

In Memory of Patty Taylor, Nebraska Rescuer, and Susanne Milsaps, Utah rescuer

Dr. Linda Grayson was truly a friend to the homeless, abused and neglected. She has sadly passed away (7-06) after a long and valiant struggle with cancer. She was an inspiration to every one who knew her. She touched many lives with her compassion. She will be missed...

Who We Are

Adopting a friend

There are no adoption fees but donations are accepted. We ask only to be reimbursed via donation for regular care and medical expenses required by the animals
