Why Airedales Need Rescue

We are asked this question all of the time.  "Why do Airedales need rescue?"  All purebred dogs have "rescue" groups.  So, it's not just Airedales.  We've listed a few of the many reasons why Airedales are rescued so you can understand the situation many of them have endured.
  • Lost or stray;
  • In shelter to be euthanized;
  • Owner dies;
  • Family moves and cannot take dog;
  • Owner's job requires them to be away from home too long;
  • Divorce;
  • Family has new baby and cannot handle dog with new baby;
  • Owner is tired of the dog;
  • Family illness/allergies;
  • Family cannot afford to keep the dog.

If you know of an Airedale in need -- at a shelter or otherwise -- please contact a rescue volunteer by telephone immediately.  We don't want to miss an Airedale in need because we didn't check our email for a day. THANKS!!!
