Every year thousands of puppies are born into bad situations. Many are born to families who can't afford to care for them or simply do not want them. Many are born as strays without shelter, food or vet care. Some are purposely bred to sell only to find a lack of wanting buyers. The majority face major risks from the start. Lack of parental vaccines (and puppy vaccines,) adequate vet care, and unsanitary conditions, lead to higher risk of disease. Poor nutrition leads to slow or irregular development, skin issues and poor coat condition. Little or no socialization leads to behavior problems or shyness making it hard to stay in a family.
Our Mission
At Poudre Puppy Rescue our mission is to save as many of these lives as possible, while helping to decrease the number of unwanted animals coming into the world.

Our Featured Pet...

Mary Jane is our pet of the month!!! Mary Jane is a Pit Bull and Lab mix. He is approximately 2-3 years old now. This unique dog is looking for a forever home. Mary Jane is the luckiest dog in the country! She came to us last November, very pregnant and so weak and thin that she could not stand! Every bone in her back was visible and trying to support her enormus belly. She delivered pups the next day. She has a very strong will to survive as she delivered 6 fat, healthy pups in her emaciated condition. After she started gaining weight we found out that she has likely been hit by a car previously and had a shattered pelvis. Her hip is not in joint but she seems to get around just fine in spite of all of the trauma! She is loyal and very loving! She loves people and kids, and does well with other dogs. If you think that you might be interested in Mary Jane, concider fostering her for a week and get to know her! You won't be sorry you gave her a chance! News
URGENT NEED OF FOSTER HOMES! The more foster homes we have, the more puppies and mothers we can save from euthansia. We currently have several adult dogs that are in need of foster homes. They are now with foster homes who typically foster a litter of puppies for us, as such we are unable to utilize them! Homes willing to take on a litter of puppies are truely a blessing as are those willing to foster just one. As a rescue, we rely soley on foster homes to help us care for the animals we take in. Please contact us if you are interested in fostering for us!
Adopting a friend
All of our potential adopters are encouraged to submit a completed adoption application. Please Email poudrepuppyrescue@yahoo.com to request an adoption application. Once an approval has been given, we can set up a time to meet the puppy/puppies you are interested in.

All of our animals are current on vaccines and have had at least one round of vaccines, at least one round of deworming Our adoption fee on our animals is $225. In addition to the adoption fee, the State of Colorado requires that we collect a $50 spay/neuter deposit. This deposit is refunded when the puppy is spayed/neutered within the first 90 days after adoption.

As a rescue, we do NOT have a central facility. All our animals are in foster homes through out the Loveland/Fort Collins area. Please see above for next adoption event or call/email for an appointment.
