Our Featured Pet...

Buddy
Buddy
is about 1 year old. He was found wandering the streets. He's finally adjusted to shelter life and we see how happy he is. He's good with other dogs, seems to want to chase cats. Buddy enjoys going on leash walks and giving kisses.

News

The Max Fund Outreach Program had a spay/neuter Clinic at Noah's Ark on April 18 & 19, 2008. Dr Watts and her staff altered 20 animals at the Ark on Friday, and 22 animals of Las Animas County residents on Saturday. Having 42 animals altered in two days is a very important element in controlling pet overpopulation and serves those pet guardians of Las Animas County who may not be able to afford the spay/neuter costs for their pet.

Upcoming events for Noah's Ark: Saturday, June 21, 2008 FREE DOG AND CAT SPAY/NEUTER CLINIC. Dr. Beth Watts and the Max Fund Outreach Clinic will be at the Las Animas County Fairgrounds June 21. 30 Appointments are available to low-income residents of Las Animas County. Call Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Assn at 719-680-2385 between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm Monday-Friday and talk to Lucy to pre-qualify and complete application. Appointments are on a first come - first serve basis. All animals must be up to date with rabies vaccination. Help us to help the animals.

Who We Are

Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Association is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization with our mission to enhance the care and living conditions of domestic animals within the city of Trinidad and Las Animas county, with emphasis on population control, disease prevention, adoption programs, support of shelters, and the education of the community on animal care issues. We have received grants in the past for spay/neutering dogs and cats to reduce the number of homeless pet animals, and will continue to pursue available funds. All charitable donations to us are tax deductible and will be acknowledged for your tax purposes.

Our Board

Noah's Ark board and officers have been successfully operating the shelter since 2001. It is an active working board making events happen in the Trinidad area. Past events have included the Trinidaddio Blues Fest, newsletter "Noah's Bark", Paws in the Park, garage sales, Peacock Ball, Yellow Doggies donation containers, New Shelter Advisory Board, Feral Cat Program, and animal care education for elementary school students.

Dog adoption fee: $50* includes distemper vaccination (does not include rabies).

Cat adoption fee: $15* includes FVRCP vaccination (does not include rabies).
