We are looking for foster homes to help with dogs who are waiting for a permanent home.
Who We Are
Homeward Bound Rescue of Colorado is a 501(c)3 non profit dog rescue organization. Currently, and in the past we have supplied a web site, advertising, foster care, and transportation to homes or other animal rescues, for animal shelter dogs who would otherwise be euthanized due to lack of space and availability of good homes in small communities. Our situation is unique, in that our time, money and efforts yield results for other animal shelters. Our mission is to provide homeless and shelter dogs with loving, lifelong homes.
Adopting a friend
Contact Homeward Bound Rescue about the pet you are interested in. Our contact person will go through the initial application process with you over the phone. If you meet all the requirements, a home visit will be scheduled at this time.
1. Our adoption fee is currently $90/dog, $125 for purebred dogs, $140
for puppies (see below) this includes:
a. spay or neuter for all pets
b. current vaccinations and rabies according to age
c. medical care/check up if needed
d. collar for dog
e. medical history of the animal
2. Homeward Bound Rescue will not adopt animals into a home for purposes of breeding, performing, entertainment, experimentation, fighting, reselling, or personal gain. We reserve the right to deny any adoption application at our discretion.
3. For puppies the owner will be responsible for the remaining rounds of pup shots and rabies. Owners will receive a $50 refund when we receive proof of spaying or neutering of the puppy. Spay and neuter is mandatory and we will follow up to make sure this has been done.
4. Must be 21 years of age to adopt from us.
