Thank you for taking the time to look at the wonderful majestic, aloof, dignified and silly Afghan Hounds. Denver Afghan Hound Rescue is dedicated to finding homes for orphan Afghan Hounds. It is run soley by volunteers and is licensed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture under the Pet Animal Care Facilities Act. This is not a shelter faciltiy and all dogs are placed in foster homes until they find the perfect family to spend the rest of their lives. Denver Afghan Hound Rescue does not breed Afghan Hounds, nor can we suggest you to a breeder for puppies. We will however give you referrals to experts with Afghan Hounds, how to groom, and trainers and other available Afghans needing homes in other states. Please remember to pass on four little words to your friends....

A present or surprise is a trip to Disney World, a piece of jewelry, a weekend at a hotel with room service. A pet is not a surprise or present, they are living, breathing creatures who have the same emotions we do.
