In the fall of 2003, a group of caring and committed shelter volunteers saw a need for a rescue and adoption center.
ANGELS WITH PAWS opened it's doors in February 2004.

Mission:

ANGELS WITH PAWS is dedicated to finding loving families for homeless animals. We provide humane, quality care and shelter for all animals we receive. We are committed to educating the public on responsible pet ownership and to promoting the spay/neuter message.

2009 Is Going to be a Great Year!
We are in our fourth year of opening our doors at Angels with Paws! We have had a fantastic first few years and are anxiously looking forward to many more! We have been able to find homes for hundreds of homeless, orphaned, abandoned, ill, and injured cats and kittens. Please join us in the coming year as we continue our work!

June 14-Sunday-9-12 AM 1st Angels With Paws Annual Bowl-a-thon Where: BrunswickZone Wheat Ridge 9751 W. 49th Ave; Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 Phone: 303-425-1601 Who: Anyone, family, children, friends-Make this a fun, family event! Cost: $20 per person includes 3 games, shoe rental and one door prize ticket. Food Coupons can be purchased for $5. This includes 2 slices of pizza and a fountain drink. Raffle: Awesome prizes for raffle and door prize. Tickets are 6 for $5. How: Help us plan by reserving your lane before JUNE 2, 2009. About ANGELS WITH PAWS:

ANGELS WITH PAWS is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to finding loving families for homeless animals and shelter for pets when their owners can no longer care for them! Our goal "to build a sanctuary in Colorado that will provide a safe and happy life for animals in need". Angels With Paws offers an alternative to the classic "cage sheltering" by placing the animals in warm and comfortable foster homes until they get adopted. When the cats are ready for adoption, they are brought into the facility by the foster parents and housed in four cozy rooms. Angels With Paws works with other animal welfare organizations to reduce the pet overpopulation in our neighborhoods and to find a loving family for any adoptable animal. Our "limited intake" policy: any animal with a good quality of life deserves a chance to find a family willing to love it and care for it; space, age or behavior will not be considered barriers in finding the perfect home for any healthy animal.

Donations:

We have an ongoing wishlist but we always seem to be short of
CANNED CAT FOOD & KITTY LITTER.

We need all sorts of kitten supplies including canned kitten food, dry kitten food, and litter. If you are cleaning out your baby stuff, drop off your blankets you no longer need for your baby to our shelter. Our baby kittens will be very appreciative!

Education:

ANGELS WITH PAWS promotes responsible pet ownership with every adoption. We try to educate our clientele regarding cat specific issues: declawing, allergies, other animals in the household, litter box concerns and inside vs. outside.

Angels with Paws have cats at PetSmart at 8500 W Crestline Ave , Littleton, Colorado. We also have cats at PetCos: 8100 W. Crestline Littleton, CO 80123, 17132 West Colfax Avenue Golden, CO 80401 and 6735 W 88th Ave Westminster, CO 80031. We have a large selection of cats there for adoption. If you are out in that area, stop by and visit our feline friends! Even if you aren't looking for a pet, please tell your friends, relatives, and neighbors if they are looking for a new addition to their home to stop by for a visit! All of the cats that we place there for adoption are in need of a good home. They each have a profile posted and there is a nice area where you can visit with them to see if it is a good match!

1:00 -6:00 p.m. Daily

ADOPTION FEE:
$75.00 - Adult Cat
$95.00 - Kitten (0-12 months)

FEES INCLUDE:
Spay/Neuter Surgery
Some vaccinations (if necessary)
Test for FELV/FIV Virus

All our cats and kittens are examined by our shelter vet, Dr. Janet Taylor. We make a great effort to find out about the previous history of each cat to find a good fit for both parties.

ANGELS WITH PAWS is located just off I-70 in Lakewood, across from Mesa Veterinary Clinic.
Driving Directions: From I-70 (east or west) take the Youngfield/32nd Avenue exit. Turn right on Youngfield Street and go south 6 blocks. ANGELS WITH PAWS is located on the east side of the road.
